Chili dogs for lunch. lol yes. Thanks Dad. ♥

Also, while walking back to Vault 101 yesterday to do Trouble on the Homefront, "Way Back Home" started playing. sob.

That started playing right as I entered it when I was on that quest. XD

I had no ironic 101 visits. :(

I started over, though, after I realized that after you cap at level 20 THREE DOG DOESN'T TALK ABOUT YOU ON THE RADIO ANYMORE. WHAT. So I'm finally doing the evil route (lolololol going to be deceptive about it, too) and the Fallout wiki is awesome (found out about the Dunwich building).

Huh. That's weird. I guess I hadn't noticed yet. I've heard him talk about me as the last, best hope for humanity and all that, but then I did Operation: Anchorage for a while and obviously you don't have GNR there.

And yeah, the wiki is great. I often look at the page for a place after I've been through it, just to read more about it. And Dunwich, I actually went through myself a couple of days ago. Man, you missed a bunch of stuff. XD; I think you ran through a little too fast. That and your computer is just so quiet, I guess, that you didn't hear the weird creepy chanting voice down in that cavern. Crazy stuff. I hopped up onto those stone pillars by the statue but could only get myself high enough to reach 4 rads/sec, so I don't know how the wiki came up with 15. They must've turned collisions off and flown up there.

There are also a couple of journals that I missed down there, too. I do tend to fly through most areas, though.

How is Anchorage? :o

It was entertaining. And very pretty. And you get quite a bit of cool stuff. If I ever do start a second character, it's going to be one of the first sidequests I do because it'll really set up a new character well.

[identity profile] graffitimoon.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahah, I should go get this then. I keep forgetting what a pain in the ass it is to stock up on ammo, arms, and caps again when you start over. It suuuucks.

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohgod no kidding. Ugh.

Yeah, a couple tips - you need to have the latest patch for it to work (there are torrents for it but I just downloaded the one from the official site and it's fine), don't download the O:A torrent by Skidrow because it's full of viruses and keyloggers, and you also need to download the achievement removal mod, which is linked from the O:A wiki page. There are directions there for how to play it offline, too, which is necessary. All pretty easy to set up, though.

Oh neat! Alright, I'll give it a shot next time I have some free time to sit down and work through the game. We've got people over, so computer access in the room is limited.

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know, all those crazy TKD kids. :o

Hey, you still on for the Japanese Garden on Monday?

[identity profile] graffitimoon.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think that's until next week and there's no way in hell I'm giving up the bedroom for them. They can sleep in the living room. :p Dar's dad is over.

Hell yeah! Any time in particular?

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohhhh, I see.

Well, it opens at 10 and closes at 4, so sometime between those hours... Perhaps 1-ish? That would give time to eat lunch before we meet up downtown, and I doubt we'd spend an entire three hours there. Man, I need to try and find some ones. D:

[identity profile] graffitimoon.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm gonna have to jack some ones, I think. One-ish sounds good, though. Um. Do you want to meet over here and then head down or find a place in between downtown?

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Looking at ride.trimet.org suggests that if we want to get there around 1, the closest we can do is 12:42. This is because in order to get to the gardens, apparently, we have to take the 63 from the Max stop at Washington Park, and the 63 only comes once an hour. If you go here (http://ride.trimet.org) and put in that you're leaving from Barbur Transit Center and going to Japanese Gardens (Portland) on 2/16, and pick "arrive by" on the drop-down for time and then put 1 pm, it'll give you your route. We can meet up at the Washington Park stop on the Blue line Max at 12:35, then take the 63 to the gardens.

Basically, if I were to go downtown first it would get extremely complicated on my end. Boo. So this works best for me. Although I guess an alternative is that if I spent the night Sunday night and we both left from the apartment on Monday, that could work too, if you're worried about finding the right stops on your own. That way, if we end up being fail, at least we'll be fail together. :D ... Though it's sort of hard to screw it up, it's an easy route. But still.
