From the CDC website:
What is CDC’s recommendation regarding "swine flu parties"?
"Swine flu parties" are gatherings during which people have close contact with a person who has 2009 H1N1 flu in order to become infected with the virus. The intent of these parties is for a person to become infected with what for many people has been a mild disease, in the hope of having natural immunity 2009 H1N1 flu virus that might circulate later and cause more severe disease.
SWINE FLU PARTIES? Wow. I hate people sometimes.
In other news, I did not go to work today. I am still not better, and my coughing kept me up all night last night. I won't give you all a laundry list of my symptoms because who really cares, but basically the only thing preventing me from going to get tested for H1N1 is that I just don't feel alert enough to drive right now. So I'm not going to say I do for sure have it, but I'm kinda wondering. Anyway, by tomorrow/Thursday I should no longer be contagious, at least. Here's hoping I haven't gotten too many other people sick in the process. I just wish I would stop coughing.
So hey, how about that Madras thing? :D Who's going for sure, and who's driving? I need to know this for sure. Especially so we know whether we actually do need to get a motel room or not.
