An Enclave soldier on patrol stops at one of the graves in Arlington National Cemetery, caught by the rare sight of flowers. Upon close inspection, they turn out to be artificial, but she stays to try and read the worn gravestone. The man who was buried here died centuries ago; now, nobody is left to remember him. Time itself has erased all trace of his name. She pays him her respects, then continues on. In this wasteland, she will be forgotten far sooner than he was.

Some, however, will never be forgotten. In 2277, Abraham Lincoln has ascended to godlike status among the citizens of the Capital Wasteland. This small shrine in a still-intact home was likely created by escaped slaves, who found the place and hid in the basement. They were long gone by the time I found it, and I'm sure there will be more after me. I didn't have flowers or wine or anything truly suitable, so I added a teddy bear to the collection. I hope Abe likes it. ;)
