As I understand it, part of next season is going to delve into Freelancer back-story, so it has been speculated that more of the history between Tex and the Director will be expanded upon. Maybe what really happened at Sidewinder will be revealed then.
I neglected to mention that I was extremely unhappy with the redemption of Wash thing at the end there. I suppose this may be an unpopular opinion, but when Wash became a self-aggrandizing crusader of justice I started hating him.
