I'M BACK. Did you miss me?

I'm actually at the beach right now, so I'm not really back in Portland, but I am in the states. There are so many white people here! Haha. Anyway, it's good to be back. I'll let you all know when I'm at home, proper, and then there can be a get-together of wonder and nonsense. Sound good? Yes. It does. No need to answer that. ;)

Okay so I didn't get around to trying to get Sufjan tickets for us until yesterday, and it seems they are already SOLD OUT. But I talked to a Ticketmaster representative and he says that sometimes more tickets become available just before the show (presumably from people canceling?) and he suggests I check back starting on the Wednesday before the show. So I guess I'll do that. ;_;

Aww :( Well, hopefully we'll get some better luck! If not, we'll just have to go to another concert sometime. I guess the Dandy Warhols are sold out already too - only learned about them playing just today, of course.

Oh but hey, also, Freelance Whales are playing at the Doug Fir on Nov. 21! My parents and I have already decided to go, but you should come along too. :D

Aww, that's right. Well, luckily we did both get to see them live before.

OH BUT I HAVE ANOTHER IDEA. We need to go to the corn maze before it ends on the 31st. You can buy my ticket! And then something else if you want, haha, since I think admission is only $5. But corn maze is crucial. And! We need to do our cave trip before it snows in the passes! So before the month is over for that, too, probably. We can make a new birthday plan even if it doesn't involve a concert. :D

We definitely need to go corn mazing. And caving. NECESSARY. Yeah, no worries, I'll figure something out. There's a chance we may still be able to swing tickets for Sufjan, too.

...There's also Gogol Bordello at Roseland Theater, 8 pm Tuesday Oct 19. Tickets $23.50. Dunno if you'd be particularly excited about that?

Not really into the Gogol Bordello thing, I think. They're entertaining, but their concerts are full of squishing and pain.

Yeah, I would go if anyone else was really excited about it, but otherwise I'm okay with not being mauled to death on a week night. And Dar can't afford to miss anymore work. So I think I'll be giving them a pass.
