Bad news first.
Well, I'm not sure necessarily that it can be considered *bad* news, but eerie and disconcerting are some words that come to mind.
kotofeika was doing some quick research on the name "Heiderich" and similar spellings. A search for "Heydrich" yielded, among other things, this page. Since in Japanese, "Heiderich" and "Heydrich" are spelled the same, and since "Heiderich" is a fan attempt to Romanize the name and not official, well.. basically the hope is that we're freaking out about nothing and that the name similarity is no more than a coincidence. Of course, since the guy's name is Reinhard and not Alphonse, if anything it would probably be his brother or something, but still.. a number of us are kind of freaked out now that AlH may have ties to the Nazi party in some way (I mean come on, he's a freaking perfect Aryan making rockets for the pride of Germany). Anyway, here's to hoping he's just a good guy.
Good news second!
Sadly, I cannot find a journal article for this yet, so a newspaper article will have to do. Biologists have recently conducted a study on fruit flies that shows strong evidence for a genetic basis for sexual preference. The experiment's results can't say anything conclusively about humans yet, but it's some strong evidence if ever I saw it. Go read the article, it's not that long. And then go spam conservative Christian websites with it!
