Yep, went to my brother's graduation, of course. My dad left to get seats for us ahead of time. Conveniently enough, he ran into Mr. Murray and so was able to get into the stadium area ten minutes before parents were supposed to get in, and saved us a bunch of seats in the front row and center, on the track, right behind the staff row. That was pretty cool. We ended up sitting right behind Malone, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Hill, and Ros. XD Ros was unconversational as usual. Anyway, shortly afterward, someone on the left side of the field tossed up a beach ball, and they batted it around until Martens caught it and ripped it open with his teeth. XDDD That was just awesome. After that, though, other random staff, including one guy who looked like a secret service agent, would pick them up. Secret Service dude got most of them. The crowd (not just the graduates, but the parents too) would boo him every time he showed up. In all, there were eight beach ball attempts, including one in the audience, but all were stolen away, alas.
Mr. Thompson gave the graduation speech this year. It was pretty good, I must say. Short and to the point and interesting, mostly based on quotations by Churchill and FDR (as is appropriate for a history teacher). And then some other stuff happened, speeches and music and whatever, nothing too remarkable, although I did find it interesting that this year's senior song was actually written and performed by a student and his friends. They were pretty good.
So overall, I suppose it was a decent graduation ceremony. It was just fun to see my old teachers and stuff like that. Casey's girlfriend's family ordered a bunch of plumeria leis from Hawaii, so Casey's been wearing his all day, and boy does it smell good. Surprisingly, the weather made it up to the mid-70s today, and though it never got extremely sunny, I still got sunburned pretty badly. Lame. I didn't think to put sunscreen on because it was cloudy and cold all day, but somehow at the school it was cloudy and very very warm. With bits of sun. That burned me. -_-
We came back and had champagne (which apparently was good, but I guess I wouldn't know; I tried a few sips but couldn't handle any more than that because alcohol is just gross to me), then we went out to dinner, courtesy of my grandma. Yum. I'm really full. And I'm probably going to be up until 2 AM because I had two glasses of iced tea. XD;
Yeah, that's all. I never could write a good conclusion to any of my papers; this entry is hardly going to be different.

Date: 2006-06-12 23:13 (UTC)I suggest we try and get there together again, because it seems there are occasionally people who will come along and KILL STEAL ARGH. >_O But I found the best spot to go hunt for them because they're the only aggressive things on the map. The only other things I saw were cats, grand pecos, and maybe a few other things, but nothing that goes chasing after you. It's really nice.

Date: 2006-06-12 23:15 (UTC)Ooh, sweet. Before we join up again, I'm going to play as my swordy for a while. I've got zip cash and items on my mage, so I'm going to quickly kill some things (won't take long), then transfer the items over. After that I'll be good to go.

Date: 2006-06-12 14:54 (UTC)We had a nice, long prayer at the graduation here. (I refuse to call it mine. XD;;) It was the lamest ever.
I really can't comprehend that Casey is graduated. That's so... omg. Weird. o__O
Also, while I'm still whining, I can't believe that I've lived here for three years, whaaat? But, really it's okay, because I get to leave tomorrow!! Whee!! ::wiggles::
