Sooo.... I've been thinking of dropping Maria from Econtra.

:D;

I'm just having a hard time playing her for whatever reason, so all she ends up doing is being used when she's most convenient, instead of being a character in her own right, and it isn't really fair to her. That, and her very presence prevents Shadow from interacting with others because he just doesn't want to talk to anyone else. I feel limited, too, in that if anything ever happens, he just goes straight to her for comfort or whatever, and very little of that gets written out. Not because I don't want to, but because I feel like I shouldn't. Like, if I want to do that, I might as well just write fic.

But as we know, dropping her would be a double-edged sword of DRAMU because, well, we all know how well Shadow will handle her disappearance. And I don't want to drop her for the purpose of giving him something to angst about, but it's not something that can be avoided if I let her go.

So....... thoughts?

Perfect excuse for Shadophiles to lose it a little. 8D Depending on how gently he gets the news, since he hasn't really gotten the fact that Maria is still alive yet.


I like your Maria, so I would be sad if you dropped, but...if it's holding you back with Shadow, it's probably for the best.

Yeah, exactly. I dunno, maybe it's just a temporary slump. I read through some of her previous threads and was all "Aww~" and I do like her, I just... haven't felt like writing her for a while. It always seems too forced when I do.

BUT BUT BUT... DRAMU! No, I know what you mean. Too much drama gets to be too much, but then it kind of sucks without it. I don't know. Waiting until theirs is over is always good, if you decide to do it at all.

Haha, you're working on another game? Will this one actually happen? ;D Anyway, alas, the chances of that happening are unlikely. I've got Econtra and then IMR is starting up in a couple weeks, and that's more than enough RP, really.

I don't think I'll wait so long as that, because I don't think they're going to be over their issues completely for a while yet. But I at least want to wait long enough for things to start approaching normal. Otherwise Shadow might start to develop weird abandonment issues. ... Well, no, I don't see him doing that, ever. But. Still. Sonic left, Rouge doesn't want to talk to him much right now, and then Maria leaving on top of that would just be horrible for his mental state.

Oooh, that sounds very cool. :D A fun plot is definitely a good thing, and I think the time limit sounds reasonable (although one year is probably far more doable than two but that will depend on how many really devoted people you get I suppose).

The design sounds totally typical of you, btw, things like spirals and cloudfish and stuff. XD Which is neat. You have your own artistic stamp on the game, which is pretty unique as compared to most RPs on LJ.

It sort of depends on what I come up with as far as the time limit goes and how many people join. I don't know. I think as far as that goes, I'll see how the game is before cutting/adding plot points. :o

Oh fun. XD I wish I had awesome dreams like that. Or that I remembered them, if I do. So very frustrating. I think I must sort of be dead when I sleep. I hardly ever dream, I don't move at all... kind of weird.
