Name a character from one of my fandoms -- or RP characters -- and I'll give you:

Fandoms: Sonic (Sega), Fullmetal Alchemist, The IT Crowd, Portal, Legend of Zelda (Ocarina of Time), Pokémon, Myst. Also viable are any of my RP characters, past and present, most of which fall into the above categories but are subtly different (so do specify if you want an RP version or a canon version).

You people are so cruel, picking two characters.

Econtra!Shadow is first because he is so very near and dear to me, the little bastard.

a)
1. He has a serious sweet tooth, especially for chocolate, but I think you knew that already. It just amuses me and yet nobody ever takes advantage of it.

2. He misses work SOBAD. But that's because his job is awesome. Even if his burning hate for the Commander will never die.

3. Although he's glad he pretty much dissolved his little harem thing he had going on there, he kind of misses the attention. He's never had that many people outwardly care about him to such a great extent before.

b)
He's such a stubborn asshole and AAGHHH LET PEOPLE LOVE YOU, OKAY? THAT'S NOT A BAD THING! TAKE A RISK FOR ONE SECOND AND LET SOMEONE IN WTFFFF

Sorry. But I ship EVERYTHING and he is so very against that. :/

c)
I actually really admire his single-minded devotion to the two things most important to him in Econtra - his sister, and trying to find a way out. That's where the stubbornness actually comes in handy. He's never going to stop working at thinking of some way to get out and get home and get Maria back to where she belongs, and in a place like Econtra with so many distractions, that takes a very strong will.

e) LET'S LIST THEM ALL SHALL WE?
1. Rouge. Poor, poor Rouge. I do feel really bad for her. One of the reasons for her specifically is that he's afraid of affection for her bleeding over once he does get back home and reunites with the Rouge of his time. It would make things horribly complicated, and he would probably end up missing the Econtra!Rouge horribly, and he doesn't want that to make working with his own Rouge impossible.

2. Tohru. Actually, she's probably come the closest to succeeding, out of all the supposed candidates. For a long time she was just a Maria substitute, so that was a big no. But even though he's come to see her differently... still no. They're from different worlds entirely, and he doesn't want to put her through the pain of the inevitable eventual separation. Plus, she's human, meaning she's fragile and pretty much defenseless, and he can't spend all of his time trying to protect her. He's got two of those already and Marias always come first.

3. AU!Sonic. He tried too hard, and in Shadow's eyes, just sort of came across as whiny and pathetic. He doesn't have half the fighting spirit that he values so much in his own rival, and he always wanted to talk about feelings. If Shadow was actually a cruel person he would have fun toying with him because it would be easy, but he's not, and instead, just finds him really annoying.

4. OU!Sonic. Well, let's see here. No. Shadow loves and respects Sonic in a totally platonic way, despite what the potion plot may have suggested... with everyone. They're good friends, despite all the fighting, and they've fought together against horrible things so often that they have a fairly deep understanding of how the other works and thinks. But it's all about competition, at the same time, and basically what it comes down to is that they already have a very tight relationship that totally precludes some sort of one-sided crush. Because that's all it ever could be. And the potion plot stuff? Not some repressed desire for his rival, but a complete power trip, and god he loved that. He figures he won that fight for dominance fair and square.

5. Uh.. hm. Maria? That's kind of obvious. He does love her, more than words could ever say, more than he would ever know how to express. He loves her so much it hurts, and I know that's a horribly cliche phrase, but it's entirely too accurate. Not just because he knows that once he finds a way out of Econtra or once the Entropi are defeated that they're inevitably going to have to split, but also that he just seriously loves her to the point where it feels like his heart might explode. Metaphorically speaking. ;P But he's not in love with her. Because unlike what half the sibling!fic across all fandoms might suggest, incest? Not actually something most siblings are into.

GODDAMNIT THAT TOOK ME WAY TOO LONG. Rouge's is not going to be that long. Also, I'm going to do it later. :p
