HOLY SHIT TUCKER KNEW? WHO ELSE KNEW? I swear, Tex has to know. nvm, Tucker must know because of the sword. Also, I LOVE TUCKER, BOWCHICKABOWWOW~~~
Okay, so he did find Junior, hence him having the sword. And the massive weapon under the sand is Forerunner technology. And omg Wash. And this episode was like a massive and very needed info dump. And omg Wash. And lawl, Maine as comic relief is just the weirdest thing ever and I love it. And omg Wash.
Edit: Watching over again just now... wait hang on, SEVEN counts of destruction of protected classified military property? Not eight?
Apparently the Chairman doesn't know about the Alpha?
Edit #2: Just watched it again. Wash says he's prisoner #619B. I assume 619A is Dr. Church? Makes more sense than most of the other candidates, although it's odd that they would be lumped like that. Maybe the Councilor is 619C or something.
I find it strange that the Chairman knows where the Meta is and what enhancements he still has. Unless the cut wasn't implying that they'd send Wash out to get his enhancements from the Meta, but that sure was what it looked like to me.
The way Tucker pauses before saying "Yeah I knew that" suggests that either he didn't actually know and wanted to make himself look smarter than them, or a moment of "wtf they didn't know?". While him not knowing and just saying it to look smart is more like him, the fact that he's specifically asked for Church at least twice now seems to indicate he does know he's important. So for now I'll believe Tucker, even though it's sort of hard for me to do so, haha.

Date: 2009-09-15 16:28 (UTC)And I was thinking the same thing with Tucker because I do the same exact thing with stuff like that, but he definitely seems eager to have Church around, despite knowing his aim and leadership skills suck. Either he wants Church around because Tucker knows he's important or prefers to have him around instead of all the other idiots he's been stationed with for several years.

Date: 2009-09-15 16:33 (UTC)I could see asking for him in this episode because he'd prefer him over, say, Caboose. But the fact that he sent Donut back to Valhalla with a message that was supposed to specifically be delivered to Church, rather than anyone else over there... of course, that could be because Tucker still thinks of him as his CO or at least someone he trusts, I suppose. Just that the way RT wrote both of those scenes, it seems less coincidental than that. ... Then again, Burnie's really good at messing with people's heads while writing this show. So who knows.

Giving it specifically to Church isn't that surprising, really. :D; He's the one most likely to do and be able to do something about it, since Caboose would fail hardcore and the Reds could care less. So yeah, trust probably played a big part in it if he didn't actually know. I kind of hope he does, though, for the hilarity of it all.
