You know what's really unfair?
shinyget is out hawking right now and I'm not.
I know, right.
BUT. To make up for that, I'm going to finally put up some of my photos from OFA's fall meet, like, a month ago.

Bob's white gyrfalcon - I can't remember this bird's name, but you may notice a resemblance to Ice, the adorable white gyr from last year. This is his brother.

Chris' amazing goshawk, Harlot. She's a superstar. She gets more beautiful and more skilled every year. So much fun to go out hunting with this bird. We're all big fans, here. If you couldn't tell.

Richard's Harris, Conchita. Who I'm sure is a stellar hunter when she's at weight, but Richard thought perhaps she was a little low, as she was lagging behind the group and generally not very interested in hunting.

Brian and his goshawk, who sadly has no name. It sounds like he's had a lot of trouble with this bird, Harlot's half-sister on her Finnish side. Hopefully they will work out their differences and become an excellent hunting team.

Brian and the gos out looking for bunnies on a beautiful sunny morning.

Doug and his Harris, Lily, doing the same. Well, except it was afternoon.
Larger versions of all of these images can be found at my Flickr page.
And now, Penny in the middle of rousing:

Yeah, you shake out those feathers, little bird.

Date: 2009-11-22 03:17 (UTC)I've been trying, but I'm also lazy. I spent the damn week unpacking, you think I would have found it during that but noooo.
