Yep! Although, reading the Starbucks gossip blog (http://starbucksgossip.typepad.com/_/2008/11/how-is-the-elec.html#comments) makes me wonder if it'll actually work. I sure hope so, I'm gonna try it out in a little bit.

So apparently, a bit more searching reveals that giving anything as an incentive to vote is illegal. So several Starbucks locations are just giving a free coffee to anyone who asks for it. Meanwhile, Oregon is confirmed as being on the honor system because of the mail-in ballots.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but a free hot beverage sounds good to me since it's not like I have to walk far to get one, lawl.

Huh, I didn't know that was illegal. I just figured they had to give to anyone who asked, because how would they make you prove that you had? Especially, as you say, in Oregon, where everyone's absentee.
